This couple of chimpanzees is in portraiture only to give full meaning to a personal and intimate approach. This drawing is an interpretation of the photo of Tim Flach that I thank very much for allowing me the postural inspiration because the chimpanzees have been changed and are from other photos.
The portraits take up the entire sheet and give the observer the feeling of intruding into this intimate and privileged moment. The velvety gray tones bring a realism to the textures and contrast with the intense black acrylic background, the subjects are in the foreground and seem to stand out.

Tête à Tête

The posture of the couples gives sensitivity and power at the same time. The features are precise to make the work all its reality, all its humanity. This drawing is inspired by a color photo by Mario Moréno that I thank very much for allowing me the inspiration. This couple with velvet lines brought by the charcoal stands out in relief from the background ink black. The rendering of the eye, the posture and the texture of the subject occupy all the space giving priority not to the aesthetic of it but to its soul.

Tendresse

This pair of lions is an interpreted representation of a color photo by Thomàs Svoboda, whom I greatly thank for allowing me the inspiration. The reframing of the subjects on a black background helps isolate the subjects in a restricted space to better appreciate their complicity.
The monochrome of this portrait arouses in the observer an intimacy that he appropriates. This very present neutrality of tones and gradient of blacks and grays, accentuates the power of the secret relationship of the observer with the drawing.

Délicatesse

This drawing was done from a reframing of a color photo, in order to highlight the softness of the subjects in a very close-up shot. Black and white affirms an atmosphere imbued with serenity and sweetness, without being attracted by the aesthetically pleasing colors. The absence of colors allows for subjectivity and attention to one's own inner perceptions and emotions. The use of pastel and charcoal helps restore the velvety texture and contrasts with the opaque and satiny background.

Charnel

What could be more natural than to pay all my attention to these molluscs, considered in my Charentaise region only for their taste interest. This usual scene that we can observe very often in nature in spring and in our gardens is of a sensuality to make blush with emotion the one who will focus on observation. The rendering of the drawing highlights the sensuality of the intertwined bodies, by their flexible and translucent textures with graphite pencil, in an erotic vertical posture. The shells, on the contrary, smooth and glossy with charcoal bring a rigidity of texture. The surrounding vegetation is discreet to give way to the intensity of the scene loaded with carnal emotion.

Câlin

This composition of two individual subject photos gave birth to this drawing highlighting all the intimacy of this couple of owls Hulottes. Their closed eyes give the intensity of the privileged moment of these two birds occupied to appropriate an intimate and caring moment. The graphite pencil technicality of plumage makes it possible to differentiate the textures between down and feathers. The animals are presented in a usual and natural environment from a hollow to a cross of branches.

Attentionné

This work from several photos of otters in different situations, allowed me to elaborate this staging where we perceive a moment of sweetness and special attention of this couple who have just collapsed on the river. The pictorial technique in its rendering; gives us to appreciate the degree of moisture of a fur dense in places and silky to others. The intense black acrylic background gives all its three-dimensional to this couple of otters imbued with tenderness and benevolence.

Alangui

This drawing is an interpretation of photos of animals taken individually in different postures, assembled and staged as a couple on paper. The postural association of a cheetah with a protective look and another alangui, gives this black and white drawing an atmosphere of fullness and complicity. The work arouses calm and rest to his contemplation. The work in graphite pencil and charcoal reveals the texture of a woolly hair in places and shat and stiff to others. The opaque and satin acrylic background gives all its depth to the scene of this composition.
