Ce couple de chimpanzés est en portrait seulement pour donner tout son sens à une approche personnelle et intime. Ce dessin est une interprétation de la photo de Tim Flach que je remercie vivement pour m’en avoir permis l’inspiration posturale car les chimpanzés ont été changés et sont issus d’autres photos.
The portraits take up the entire sheet and give the observer the feeling of intruding into this intimate and privileged moment. The velvety gray tones bring a realism to the textures and contrast with the intense black acrylic background, the subjects are in the foreground and seem to stand out.

Tête à Tête

The posture of the couple gives both sensitivity and power. The lines are precise to give the work all its reality and all its humanity. This drawing is inspired by a color photo by Mario Moréno, whom I greatly thank for allowing me the inspiration. This couple with velvet lines provided by charcoal stands out in relief from the black ink background. The rendering of the gaze, posture, and texture of the subject occupy the entire space, giving priority not to its aesthetics but to its soul.

Tendresse

This pair of lions is an interpreted representation of a color photo by Thomàs Svoboda, whom I greatly thank for allowing me the inspiration. The reframing of the subjects on a black background helps isolate the subjects in a restricted space to better appreciate their complicity.
Le monochrome de ce portrait suscite chez l’observateur une intimité qu’il s’approprie. Cette neutralité très présente de tons et de dégradé de noirs et de gris, accentue la puissance du rapport secret de l’observateur avec le dessin.

Délicatesse

This drawing was done from a reframing of a color photo, in order to highlight the softness of the subjects in a very close-up shot. Black and white affirms an atmosphere imbued with serenity and sweetness, without being attracted by the aesthetically pleasing colors. The absence of colors allows for subjectivity and attention to one's own inner perceptions and emotions. The use of pastel and charcoal helps restore the velvety texture and contrasts with the opaque and satiny background.

Charnel

Quoi de plus naturel que de porter toute mon attention à ces mollusques, considérés dans ma région charentaise seulement pour leur intérêt gustatif. Cette scène habituelle que nous pouvons observer très souvent dans la nature au printemps et dans nos jardins est d’une sensualité à faire rougir d’émotion celui qui saura s’attarder à l’observation. Le rendu du dessin met en avant la sensualité des corps entremêlés, par leurs textures souples et translucides au crayon graphite, dans une posture verticale érotique. Les coquilles au contraire, lisses et brillantes au fusain apportent une rigidité de texture. La végétation alentour se fait discrète pour laisser place à l’intensité de la scène chargée d’émotion charnelle.

Câlin

Cette composition de deux photos de sujet individuel a donné naissance à ce dessin mettant en avant toute l’intimité de ce couple de chouettes Hulottes. Leurs yeux fermés donnent l’intensité du moment privilégié de ces deux volatiles occupés à s’approprier un moment intime et attentionné. La technicité au crayon graphite du plumage permet de différencier les textures entre duvet et plumes. Les animaux sont présentés dans un environnement habituel et naturel d’un creux à un croisement de branches.

Attentionné

Ce travail à partir de plusieurs photos de loutres dans des situations différentes, m’a permise d’élaborer cette mise en scène où nous percevons un moment de douceur et d’attention toute particulière de ce couple venant de s’ébrouer en sortie de rivière. La technique pictural dans son rendu; nous donne à apprécier le degré d’humidité d’une fourrure dense par endroits et soyeuse à d’autres. Le fond acrylique noir intense donne toute sa tri-dimension à ce couple de loutres empreint de tendresse et bienveillance.

Alangui

Ce dessin est une interprétation de photos d’animaux pris individuellement dans des postures différentes, assemblés et mis en scène en couple sur le papier. L’association posturale d’un guépard au regard protecteur et d’un autre alangui, donne à ce dessin noir et blanc une ambiance de plénitude et de complicité. L’œuvre suscite calme et repos à sa contemplation. Le travail au crayon graphite et au fusain révèle la texture d’un poil laineux par endroits et ras et raide à d’autres. Le fond acrylique opaque et satiné donne toute sa profondeur à la scène de cette composition.
